"This is a problem and its going to get worse"

What's your solution?

Are you acknowledging that it is in fact a problem and that all the reassurances we've been hearing for months now have been objectively wrong? I'll gladly have this tangential discussion once you do that. Otherwise, let's not change the subject.

Yeah it is a problem. The U.S. should increase the applications they process.

They're already processing at a higher rate than they traditionally do, but hypothetically let's say they could wave a wand and make an army of lawyers, judges, and social workers appear to fulfill this supposedly "one-time" problem. What happens to the huge number of people whose applications are rejected in short order and who will take them? What happens to this new infrastructure created the moment demand goes away? How do we prevent this from becoming a more frequent occurrence?

There's no perfect solution, but I think I've found one that makes everyone happy to the best of our ability:
The US should just take every single migrant and transport them (at our expense) to the US-Canada border and help them all across. Clearly the US is more dangerous and less welcoming for these migrants than Canada, and as the superior country they shouldn't have any issues with us ignoring their sovereignty to help some migrants find a better life. Everyone wins: the migrants make it to a wealthy country, the US doesn't have to support them, and Canada gets to put their money where their mouth is with regard to how the US should be treating them.
