It's fun to exaggerate feelings in this contest because otherwise I wouldn't find later rounds very fun. I don't like any of these characters (and I'm hardly the only one continuously calling Mario a villain). A lot of people get way too invested in these damn contests. It's kinda ridiculous how angry people are getting over rallies or Mario winning close matches or Nintendo being dominant or whatever the hell else. It's a spectacle. The story lines are cool, it's always nice to see who goes up and down, it's always a joy to see everything I know turn out to be wrong, it's a fun and dumb diversion from the other shit in my life. I learned not to get heavily invested in this shit in 2003, and I still have as much fun watching all this as I did back in 2002 and 2003 when things were ten times as chaotic.
