| Place 12/12/18 7:18:53 PM #140: | Some years ago, I met a guy who was really into groups like Passion Pit and Arcade Fire. For all the years I knew him, I tried desperately to convince myself that the music was as good as he said, listening to stuff like Manners over and over again to see if there was something I'd missed. This track doesn't hold up. Maybe it's really out there as far as (((mainstream))) indie pop goes, but it hits on all of those same beats, breaking up the monotony with a handful of cool sounds or samples or whatever. MycroProcessor posted... actually after the ranking is finished, planning on going through all of the noms people changed last minute or stuff people said they "almost nominated but cut in favor of something else" at the very end, and showing where in the ranking they would've placed had they been in it Oh hey, if you're serious about this can I throw down a few tracks from my shortlist?
