Of course I've told in the sequel, The After Years, they're both cured of the petrification I'm reasonably certain they were cured during the ending of IV. Didn't have to wait until the After Years to see them back to normal. Edit: or apparently even before the ending. Been a while since I've played it. For me, not sure why, but it's probably the "You're Not Alone" scene in 9 when Zidane discovers his "true identity" and goes all emo and tells everyone to buzz off. It's incredibly angsty and makes no bloody sense, but it always tugs at the heartstrings. Probably just the music. To Zanarkand does the same to me. --- Assassins do it from behind. ...
