What I Think: If you remember my Scarlet Gauntlet, you'll know that the Full Metal Bitch stands in the elite company of characters I absolutely adore. And that alone would land this movie immediately in the Top 20, but on top of that, there's a phenomenal script here to boot. This movie reminds me a lot of the great television shows where, despite being billed as drama, you are gifted some rapid-fire humor and subtle performances that rely on facial expressions to convey punchlines. Cruise is actually at his all-time best in this film, performing at an elite level here. Too often, we ignore the tightrope that has to be walked in a movie like Edge of Tomorrow, where you have to convey an earnestness in order to sell a premise and then immediately turn around and be up for complete slapstick, then prep your cool and suave attitude for a heist, etc. And, as with Groundhog Day, Edge plays with time in a way that makes the movie delightful and unpredictable. It's great stuff. This is the kind of movie that really demonstrates why I made this list. Science fiction is just delightful sometimes." ~scarlet

"If Bill Paxton wanted to be a hard ass drill sergeant in every movie from now on, Id be ok with it. If Mad Eye Moody wanted to be a grouchy general in every movie from now on, Id be ok with it. If Tom Cruise wanted to be a chicken shit turned hero in every movie from now on, Id be ok with it. I am so ok with this movie. It takes the overused Groundhog Day gimmick and actually makes it a ton of fun. Every repetition was actually fun during the first half. The skill increase and emotional fatigue you see from Tom Cruise because of all the repetition was actually rewarding to me as the viewer. I felt more invested in his journey because I saw so much of it. I guess my only minor complaint is I wanted more. Maybe a bit more side stuff with the squad members? Just a small nitpick really. It was great otherwise.

Traviss Opinion: He asked me why angry lady didnt disconnect the trailer. He also decided to wear his car carrying case as a hat and dance. " ~Stifled

"Basically this is a hard and brutal Groundhog Day. William Cage is stuck in a time loop, well, kinda. He's not so much stuck as he is in it to figure a way to defeat the alien invaders that are ravaging him and his team each day. Much like Groundhog Day, there are bits of comedy-death here and there to catch a laugh from you. Despite the fact she can't remember each day, Vrataski and Cage's relationship bonding still feels like a progressing relationship as the days go by. I wish this film did a little better; it had such a massive budget and they went all out with the special effects and battle suits. It's a really fun ride and Cruise gives his usual kind of likable performance. That said, I know it's still getting a sequel so there must be some sort of demand for it still, which makes me happy." ~Charon

"A solder fighting an alien invasion gains the ability to go back in time whenever he gets killed, reliving the same day over and over again in an attempt to find the one path that leads to victory.
Now that he is filled with DETERMINATION, Cage sets out to gain enough experience points to reach level 36 and evolve into Caguerrilla.
Despite the focus on a character reliving the same day over and over again, it never feels repetitive. The protagonist is always moving forward towards his goal, and despite having such a broken ability things are never too easy for him.
It is a great movie that while being mainly an action film still finds time for little pockets of humor here and there and is quite a fun watch." ~Karo
