People do buy things they dont need. But I dont think thats the major reason. I think its just people have grown complacent with living paycheck to paycheck. Lots of families do that.

I dont think thats exactly it. I think a lot of people are living paycheck to paycheck, though. Which is different from being poor. I believe there was a stat somewhere that showed a huge percentage of the population was living paycheck to paycheck. Which some people see as poor...
