Your son and his best friend have been inseperable, playing together before and after school, working together in school. Doing homework together, practing football together, climbing trees together, playing video games together almost literally every day.

Until one day the other kids' parents angrily come to your home and tell you in no uncertain terms that your son is a terrible influence on their daughter, that boy play with boys and girls play with girls. That's the way it is. They then demand you keep him away from their girl.

Your son knew this was coming because he figured out that they hated him and is breaking down in tears in his room thinking he won't get to be with best friend again.

How do you react? What do you do?
