I'm not saying that I think you should. I just don't think you've really done a good job of defending that viewpoint. You've mostly just defended that we shouldn't judge people for doing things that addiction makes them do.

Does this hold in your mind for essentially any problem that arises because of poor decisions that people make? Does the severity of the consequences change how much we can judge people for the initial decision?

Etc.

There are definitely situations where the judgement is OK, what I'm saying is if you see them and judge them without knowing their history, then you're a bad person for judging them.

If you don't know the circumstances of the original decision, you can't judge.
