It's the difference between being a Patriot or a Nationalist. A nationalist acts in the interest of the country, a patriot acts in the interest of the government.

That's not the only reason it was banned.

Either way, the South are traitorous in the actual definition of a traitor. My opinion...the statues and flags of traitors shouldn't be displayed in public and the people who rightfully want the items banned, are not wrong.
