"Theres something about a movie where its just one actor (well, kinda) having to carry an entire story by him or herself that I find fascinating. This movie starts out intriguing with that musical score that feels both whimsical and mysterious at the same time. And then were just thrown into this Moon base where Sam Rockwell is the sole human running things, coming to the end of his three-year contract. Watching the mundane activities of this lone guy is actually interesting, given the settingbut then the movie takes a more sci-fi (than being on a Moon base) twist by introducing clones, and the fact that the Sam Rockwell we met in the first part of the movieis merely a clone used to man the base and keep training costs down.

The film then gets fun by having two Sam Rockwells interacting and dealing with clone shenanigansalthough the attempt at a more serious plot isnt perfect. Still, its cool, watching these two guys who are the same person behave in such wildly different fashions. Also cool that theres no the base is damaged and we have to escape plot like one might otherwise expect. I found the design of GERTY to be interesting as well. Its amazing how the filmmakers were able to successfully convey the emotional range of a robot using just emojis. They couldnt even do that in the Emoji Movie. So yeah, this was yet another really good film on this list." ~Inviso

"Moon has an interesting spot on my list; it took the longest to watch, for some unknown reason I can't seem to remember. There were lots of problems involved with watching this movie to completion, I believe it had something to do with our cable services since we used Netflix for this one. I was worried about it because I did enjoy the movie but I didn't want any sort of outside interference to cause it to place out of place on my list. It's an interesting trip, that's for sure. Like a few other films on this list, I pictured this happening to myself. What if all my memories were just memories of the "original" me, and I was just a clone, a drone that was meant to only work, die and be replaced by another. Yet, watching the two interact was interesting because despite them being the same person, they had their own personalities as well. I assume it has to do with how much "older" one was than the other, and even though their lifespan is short, in that time they still gain their own "soul", so to speak. I wish the ending was a little more resolute, that's my biggest gripe." ~charon

"Sam Rockwells intense and sad isolation & loneliness on the moon feels tangible and real. Theres a bit of psychological twist that plays with the viewers expectactions. I like how stripped down and simple it all feels."~Snake

"I enjoyed Moon. It made me think and question aspects throughout the entire experience. I feel like this is a movie that's better viewed in the comfort of your own home so that you can speculate aloud without getting popcorn kernels thrown at you by an angry theater patron. " ~Genny
