Rules of the actual tournament can be found in the above link (like stages, items, double elimination, etc)

But here are some additional things:

-It will take place Friday, December 14, 2018 at 6:00 PM PST/9:00 PM EST, that's also the cutoff when sign ups end.

-You need to make a Challonge account, it's pretty easy.

-30 minutes before the contest starts, you need to Check In just to make sure you're actually available on match day. On December 14, 2018 starting at 5:30 PM PST/8:30 PM EST go the above Challonge Link and you should see a "Check In" button. Just click on that and you're in. If you don't Check In, you will automatically be booted from the bracket.

-North America players only. Sorry to anyone else but there's already going to be lag even in the country, we don't want to complicate this by having cross country lag.

-I'm going to give the winner a $20 eShop gift card number. If for some reason I win the tournament, I'll give it to 2nd place.

-In order to make sure communication is better during the actual contest itself please post your Switch Username. I'm going to add any of those to this list:

If anyone is interested in streaming the Top 8 on Twitch or something, let me know. Otherwise we won't do any streaming.

I'll likely make a new topic for when the tournament starts, but I'll likely be advising people to use DMs or even B8 Discord to find matches easier/faster.
