I think its become a realistic expectation that every Nintendo Direct or event is going to be overloaded with Splatoon content. I haven't yet played it, but Splatoon is kind of neat conceptually(I actually own 2, but haven't played it yet). The Inkling's were an obvious fit for Smash and I can't help but wonder if, when creating Splatoon, someone was thinking in their back of the mind how to fit them in Smash at the same time. I'm a little upset the silhouette in the initial Smash reveal never got filled out definitively by Nintendo. --- "First thing that crosses my mind: I didn't get any GameFAQs Karma yesterday."
