Smash sometimes throws in these obscure novelty characters that are like "hey remember this game you absolutely don't remember" and they are kind of neat at first, and then you get to the point we are however many years later and realize you really just don't give a shit that the Ice climbers exist. Its not like Smash somehow gave them a series revival or anything. They are best known for...being a Smash character.
