Yet Mega Man is doing better and Bowser's doing about the same as last time. That's more evidence that popular characters aren't that pic-sensitive, as long as it's not something completely different like Sprite Snake. There's also some rationale that maybe the characters may not be as picture sensitive as they used to be with lower votals with a greater percentage of people really familiar with these characters.
