In all the time Wario has been in Smash, I think I've played him like twice. Both were when I was picking random. I would never willingly choose Wario, I don't like Wario. In fact, I hate Wario, everything about Wario is awful. He is fat, ugly, mismatched color Mario with an identity of basically being repulsive. There isn't anything here for me to like and I am probably part of that market that keeps Nintendo from putting Waluigi into the game. He moves janky as all hell in game, his bike is annoying, its annoying watching him glow because hes literally going to attempt to fart his way to victory. To put it simply, he is a character with no appeal to me and narrowly dodged a last place ranking simply because I dislike the character and not the mere idea of his existence as a whole.
Wario is the best. I've had an insane amount of fun doing 2v2 online matches where me and my brother are both Wario and we just keep using his fucking motorcycle, vary the speed a bit and direction a bit, and just keep ramming into people. Every time the motorcycle breaks just pull it out again, no other moves other than recovery when necessary. It's so insanely stupid and fun I can't help but love it, especially because you inevitably win a lot. ---
