The simple fact that by the time they are giving any kind of actual discount on used games at all (and not selling it for $5 less then full retail) there is almost always a sale on the new game that is cheaper then the used versions at gamestop.

What?

Lets use Assassin's Creed Odyssey as an example.

It's currently on sale new at gamestop for 59.99 and used for 54.99.

Meanwhile I bought it form Amazon during a sale for $27.

Now they did have it on sale at gamestop as well, but it was more expensive (mid 30's?). Steam had it for 40, and might still. Green man gaming had it for 30 something and I had a coupon to bring it down to within a few dollars of $27 (should have just done that but I had amazon credit).

I got AC Odyssey and the new TR for $27 each at GS for BF. Zon probably price matched 'em.

I see better prices than their used prices all the time. This is why you shop at multiple stores. Still I've gotten some great deals from GS by being smart about it.
