It's always amusing to see how the social hierarchy works, and which public figures the Internet immediately leaps to defend en masse and which ones they immediately jump on the condemnation train for, based solely on whether or not they like that person in the first place.

Yes, but all too often the only context that matters is "I like this first guy so fuck you for wrongfully accusing him! Also, I hate that second guy so I hope he goes to prison for life and then burns in hell!"

The Internet rarely bothers to look into any of the details of any given case before making a judgment and then screaming about it. Usually they get as far as hearing that Person A accused Person B of thing, decide whether or not they like Person B, and then start sharpening the pitchforks to start hunting down either the accuser or accused.



I hope you arent suggesting that people can be capable of having preconceived biases, I dont think theres much precedent of such a thing
