High Noon, Phone Booth, Buried. It's just a stylistic choice. I don't think this movie is at all award bait-y, honestly. The concept of award bait is usually in the subject matter (ie: Tracy Jordan's Hard to Watch). I don't think there's anything wrong with disliking the movie because said style doesn't provide what you look for in movies, though. --- "It is too easy being monsters.
