| Jeff AKA Snoopy 11/28/18 12:28:56 PM #121: | This is a natural evolution of the second amendment. Let's take this to an extreme. Everyone has a gun. The second amendment protects such rights. A bad person with a gun starts to open fire in a crowded area. It causes a panic. Assume 90% of people flee. The other 10% pull their fire arms and exchange shots with the bad guy. Now police enter the scene with let's say over a dozen people with fire arms and exchanging fire. How in the fuck is a cop supposed to immediately know which person with a gun is a good samaritan and which is the shooter they are looking for? They issue an order to someone who has a weapon. That person is amped up with adrenaline and does not hear immediately, or it doesnt register with them what to do. Police then must assume person who is in non compliance with a gun is a threat. This world is fucking terrifying. I live in Canada and we got a lot of guns, but our laws about pistols and conceal carry and all that are different. You don't hear about active shooters and whatnot. I know it is not necessarily about gun laws, but let's take a look at how we can make the situation easier on police, on everyone. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
