cops in general can be very jumpy depending on the location and their training really isnt adequate enough in many situations. there is a lot of instances of police stopping and going after white gun owners (especially harassing open carry ones. iv personally seen it in flint) and even shooting them once they see the presence of a firearm in the moment. this isnt unique to black people.

that said profiling is going to happen when statistics are heavily against young black men. doesnt make it right, but it is what it is. when 6% of the population is attributed to 40%+ of the violent crime in the country things are going to be iffy in certain circumstances.

no matter who you are or the color of your skin you should be able to carry a firearm if youre legally able to and you shouldnt have to fear that cops will shoot you for having it. the police system needs a reboot.
