"I cant believe Im placing a movie this bloody so high. But Murphy was such a great character. That development was really good and I loved his theme. I had some complaints, but many stopped bothering me after a point. Story was nice with corruption and stuff." ~Wickle

"Its nearly impossible to match the level of satire on display in this film, an overindulgance of violence, capitalism, and the neverending march of technology. In another film, our tin-can protagonist would be an unstoppable villain, but here he delivers swift justice to the criminal underbelly of Detroit as the movie gives him only the slightest emotional connections to further accenuate the fact that he has lost almost all humanity. With a great ending that contains one of the best body horror moments in film history, RoboCop is an absolute winner front to back. " ~Snake

"I just love how over-the-top this movie can be, but it also has its smart moments with its satire. The violence in this movie is just fantastic. Its just extremely brutal. The movie portrays how shitty the living environment is very well. I liked how the movie conveyed how big of a help technology can be for society but also that it has its downsides. Boddicker was an interesting villain. He was clearly a terrible person but also you gotta kinda admire how much effort he puts in against the juggernaut that is Robocop. Just an awesome movie." ~JONA

"Murphy's death scene was so damn violent, maybe one of the goriest moments on this entire list. I had totally forgot about that part and it's just so sickening and shocking. Robocop is interesting to me because it explores the concept of what is thought to be a machine rediscovering his identity as a human being. I've always thought the movie is remarkably gorgeous, especially for the time period. Robocops suit still looks so authentic to me and I was never taken out of film by anything that seemed odd or out of place. The antagonists here are particularly vile; it's really easy to hate both Dick and Clarence and enjoy when they get what's coming to them. Murphy's Law." ~Charon

"A critically injured police officer is rebuilt into a crime-fighting cyborg in what is possibly meant to be the future, though aside from the robots there seems to be little difference from the 1980s. Just as you'd expect, he eventually regains his memories and goes rogue in order to take down his killers.
The absurdly evil corporate executives are hilarious, as of course are the fake newscasts and commercials that litter the film.
The plot is very thin and is mainly used as an excuse to have RoboCop kick ass and blow shit up, and while that is still entertaining, it leaves you wanting something a little bit more. It is good cheesy fun to watch, but it is still a very generic revenge story that is not very remarkable or memorable aside from a few choice quotes." ~Karo

"I'LL BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR!

I will, though. In fact, I'd even say this movie is worth more than a dollar: I'd buy a ticket to see this rereleased in theaters. Paul Verhoeven is great at trashy ultraviolence with a Message, and this is him in peak form. He's not the only one that shows up to make this a great time, though Peter Weller is straight-up iconic in the title role, and the supporting cast is overflowing with underrated character actors like Kurtwood Smith, Ray Wise, and Miguel Ferrer.
