Much like Coheed and Cambria, I feel like I would have enjoyed this a lot more when I was a teenager.
It's not that this is bad, it's just that my tastes have changed over the years. I haven't heard the original version, but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you did the right thing posting the acoustic version. I was always a fan of acoustic versions of songs. I listened to a lot of dashboard confessionals in my youth.
