@Logience Square character have done fine to this point, but you know who's been better? Characters from the Mario franchise.

You talk about square characters, but we've seen Sephiroth three times already in the contest and he hasn't looked good. Getting 61% against Amaterasu, the same character Luigi got nearly 60% in 2010 isn't a good look. His performance against Wesker also wasn't much better than what Kefka did in 2005.

CBIX was an embarrassment to all noble nine members and that's because there were rallies everywhere. So far our only rally has come from the Tifa vs X battle, so there's a good shot the Mario vs Sephiroth match stays clean.

We can't say how strong Mario will be since we haven't seen him yet, but if the other characters in his franchise are any indicator than I think we're going to see Mario's first W against Sephiroth.
