Sorry if you couldn't comprehend the story.

Except I did. Comprehending the story =/= having a full story. XV's story was lacking. There's a hell of a difference there.

You can say it's a bad story and I won't argue cause that's an opinion and I respect your right to have one. But the game didn't need the movie or the anime that was just square being over confident this game was going to be a smash hit.

No that was a combination of Squeenix realizing that the story was incomplete, and that it could always make even more money, regardless of the core game's sales. Square Enix is greedy and leaves for wont when it comes to quality content or story. XV only kicked off their claim to the "games as a service" model.

That or trying too hard to make it a smash hit by trying to hype it up with the movie and anime.

They rose the hype so the game could meet their insane goal for copies sold when it came to XV. People knew it was insane when the number was announced; there was news about this. The movies, anime, and so on were, as I said, an attempt to cash in further, and tell more story because the game itself needed more.

The DLC followed, over time, including the three planned chapters based on chunks of the story taken out of the main game to be resold later.

And don't even get me started on "FFXV: New Empire."
