Should it be the industry standard? Absolutely not.

Its extreme and doesnt really help much in the sense that the underlying assumption is that women only dress a certain way for male pleasure, rather than assuming the woman is an agent capable of making decisions that are not always male centric.

But this argument is flawed, because this female character doesn't have a will of her own, she's created by males, for males. And by doing that, not only do they dress her in a sexist way, they also shape her body in a sexist way.


I meant in a general sense. But I do think that there has been improvement in the industry. Hopefully improvement will continue.
Sexism I think doesnt generally anger people as much as racism, nor should it be seen as a battle for who is the most oppressed.
