Realistically, how do the gun ban proponents expect to collect the large numbers of guns in the US with anything resembling success?

It's best I don't have one. Having such an easy means to off myself when I have a low point situation is too dangerous. I'm not in my right mind when I get that down. I'd never hurt anyone but myself, but knowing that about myself, I choose not to have one. Most of my friends and family have them, I've shot them, I know how to responsibly handle one, I'm not against them, I just know with my mental illness, I'm a danger to myself if I have a gun.
Literally only ever used the singular pronoun, aka, myself. Never once said they should be banned, just saying I shouldn't have one. ---
