I'm not gonna pretend I'm hugely upset or anything. Never paid Game & Watch any attention, and I'll likely not even play them in Ultimate... but in a world where these crazies misconstrue Zelda's role in BoTW to fit their dipshit narrative, Nintendo's just doing what they gotta do to crowd control these SJW loons.
It's essentially the worst thing you can possibly do, because once you demonstrate that you're actually listening to them instead of ignoring them, they redouble their efforts to shit on everything you do. Because know they KNOW they can bully you into doing what they want.
This is why it's so common for virtue-signalers to turn on each other, and why people like Joss Whedon and Wil Wheaton took a ton of shit on Twitter in spite of being some of the stronger SJW-type voices out there themselves.
The people who are legitimately racist or sexist don't give a single shit what a bunch of jumped-up assholes on Twitter think, so SJWs have very little power over them. And since the SJW mentality is less about actually accomplishing things and more about having a sense of accomplishment (false or otherwise), they'll usually choose to go after the people they know they can intimidate more than the people they should actually be trying to intimidate. It's slacktivism at its finest.
