I certainly hope not. Mental illness should never be normalized, and in the case of trans people, it's about forcing others to cater to your delusions. I'm under no legal nor moral obligation to call a man a woman just because he puts on a dress and mutilates his genitals due to feelings. Feelings don't change biological realities. I have incredible sympathy for trans people and the confusion and suffering they go through. The way to help them is to make them understand that they are in fact not the opposite gender and help them feel comfortable in their own skin. What we are doing now where we falsely tell them that they can be something they aren't and Frankenstein them into a body that fits into their disorder is nothing short of abuse.
