Not only does the Pro give people an option to play games in 4k if they have an appropriate TV, but for those that don't have 4K TVs, the Pro still gives advantages in the forms of increased and/or stable fps, better graphics and making older games have better fps as well. Not to mention they added a super sampling mode to force games to upscale to 4k and then downscale to 1080p to make them look much better on 1080p TVs but at the cost of not having the other improvements available.
