| Blighboy 10/15/18 3:44:47 PM #15: | I think the MCU isn't really any better than the old Star Wars EU as far as canon levels go. I believe it's just a matter of time before we get a "real" Daredevil or Punisher in the MCU films. I don't really think it's an actual problem to have supplementary stories, like KotOR or the Marvel Netflix films, that the people in charge don't care about. If anything I'm more skeptical about the new Star Wars canon, because not only are they assuring us that they actually do care about all the material, but they've even incorporated some aspects into the films (though only Rogue One and Solo so far) which is madness. I don't see it working out really because there's a finite amount of in universe time and events between Episode 1 and Episode 9, and Disney is going to jettison stuff eventually so they can make more films and cartoons. Which is just going to lead to more of a clusterfuck, especially because it's incredibly obvious there's no one at the steering wheel of the Star Wars mythos at the moment. --- ...
