Hell, there are some mix couples so it's not out of the norm to see children and adults of different/mixed ethnicity. A Japanese/Chinese American friend of mine is marrying a Mexican American (do we really need to keep saying American or we can just assume that person is American and of that ethnicity?) who already have two kids from a previous marriage so at a glance one might not think they're part of the same family. Exactly. I see many interracial couples. And a good amount of them have children from previous relationships. Even myself. I'm not the same ethnicity as my BF, and he has kids from previous relationships. So, we look nothing alike and have very different skin colors.
