I just realized pushing 30 that I'm getting tired of spending 100 bucks on socks every year because they wear out and develop holes in the bottoms. I have size ~12/12.5 but really wide feet. Most socks are sold in bundles that are just broadly labelled as 'sizes 6-12' and so I'm always stretching them beyond what they were intended. I've never seen packs of socks in any department store that go higher and I'm trying to avoid walking into a specialty shop and spending an outrageous amount on individual pairs.
