I made the choice, so yes I would - after all, I apparently die "dealing the final blow", so it's not like I click a button and then instantly poof out of existence.

More to the point, speaking solely for myself I'm not doing it for the adulation; I'm doing it because it's the right thing to do.

Also, for however much I love my solitude, life after everyone else dies would be incredibly shitty. Power would go out pretty quickly, so there goes all electronic forms of entertainment, as well as heat during the winter/AC during the summer (depending on what climate you live in), plumbing and your ability to preserve food via refrigeration and/or freezing.There would be no one to stock food, so you would be stuck raiding whatever was on the shelves and was not spoilable (and because grocery stores tend to be filled with spoilable products, they will all stink to high heaven). You might be able to eke out a living for a little while, if you're lucky, but with no medical care, no food collection, and difficulty getting enough potable water to stay clean and hydrated, you're probably going to die pretty quickly (and even if you didn't, you'd have a pretty boring existence).
