I've only read the first story arc of the VN, which in my favorite arc of Higurashi. And I think it was a great adaption as far as I've read. And yes. The VN for Umineko is much more coherent, it keeps track of a lot important things in a little notes section. The anime cut a lot. Now, I get cutting things, especially from Umineko, Umineko is long as shit. But a lot of the stuff that was cut or glossed over was really important stuff, while they kept a lot of things that weren't as important and could have been cut instead. After reading Question Arc of Umineko, it is solvable. That is exactly what the anime adapted, and it isn't possible to solve after watching the anime. The anime also straight up completely changes a lot of scenes. It was just overall a mess. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
