So for option 1, am I destroying the world and I'm floating around in space where the destroyed world was? Or am I actually just causing everyone else to die and not actually desyroying the world?

And the OP just confuses matters more. First off, it says everyone is destroyed, but then says just those from the world I destroy gets destroyed. So, it seems that I could just go to Mars, choose option one, thus destroying everyone on Mars but me, then return to Earth and everyone's completely unaffected.
