This. There's just no real reason to return to the moon. The costs greatly outweigh the benefits. We need to be exploring space for habitable planets in case Earth ever becomes inhabitable. Exploring barren rocks like the moon is pointless.

Actually what we need to be doing is to send astronauts to Mars, not the moon. Also, we need to create real terraforming so that we could make Mars habitable.

Mars is the next logical step, not repeatedly sending astronauts to the moon for no real reason.

Conspiracy theorists like to say stuff like we stopped going to the moon because "video quality improved" but honestly if you really think about it, it would be easier to fake a moon landing now with modern CGI than it would have been in the 60s. The whole conspiracy theory makes no sense at all.
