Having dabbled in opiates in the past I have some but not a whole lot of perspective. But it'll fuck you up - the addiction, as described by the friend who almost died, is literally the strongest urge you ever have. You feel that you will die WITHOUT it - and the physical withdrawal pains wouldn't help. Don't tell me I'm trolling about this shit. I actually care about these people, I think their turning to opiates and other vices is a result of economic downturn and struggles (Even as the COUNTRY gets richer), ignorance, and continued bad habits + societal enabling on many levels I don't think they're all selfish, I think they're consumed by a ridiculously powerful urge and they need help but you gotta protect yourself too so if you ever administer narcan to someone, just be wary at the very least --- ...
