Topic	Why do so many fantasy games use Orcs?

In terms of their personality and role in the world they're quite similar to Tolkien's orcs/goblins. They live underground, they're weak and frail, cowardly and treacherous, always chaotic evil, worship evil wizards, have a large slave underclass, surprisingly technologically advanced.
