When I was younger I'd never really ever think of calling myself an 'introvert'. I had friends, I liked hanging out with them, but I guess I always did feel deep down that something about me was different. I put on a lot of a show. Getting older, things started to make more sense, especially after dealing with a particularly nasty year of depression and intense panic attacks. Now I'm 19 and understand myself better, and that makes me happy, and I don't care what other people may say about it because I'm content with who I am. If anybody ever bothers you about being different and not doing enough, make your best effort not to listen. If a true extrovert got trapped in a situation where they could only be by themselves, it'd probably make them uncomfortable -- chances are you know more about yourself and are happier with who you are than other people do to themselves. My point is, don't beat yourself up about it too much.
