IIRC it had a handy .each function for enumerating collections, and it has an easier ajax call or something, but I don't use it. I'm not an expert with it and don't know the full extent of its features. I do use jquery-ui a lot, but for regular jquery, I think recently I am mostly just using it to construct elements. $("<span>") and stuff.
