| Hayame Zero 09/08/18 4:30:50 PM #37: | It was I and most people my age group's intro to independant films. I loved it then, but now...I don't know. There's some entertaining stuff, but it's trying to do too much, and explaining too little. I understand it's intentionally ambiguous, but people tried to dissect it into more than it actually was. The Director's Cut, which literally had paragraphed title cards every few minutes, really doubled-down on over-complicating things. They tried to tie up loose ends, and just made it worse. And then the guy's next movie, Southland Tales, THAT was a pretentious fucking disaster. --- ...I think I'm done here... ... Copied to Clipboard! |
