If he's to be impeached, it has to be for Russia collusion, campaign money laundering, or one of the other myriad things that he should be impeached over, as those tie into the Trump/Pence campaign itself and would bring down Pence with him.

Probably Obama's biggest blunder after not sharing the facts about how Russia had influenced the election ('tis better to get an awful result than let people know the electoral system was undermined so they lose faith in the system...yeah....) was not pushing for faster interest rate hikes in the final months of his presidency, to hasten the inevitable bubble burst early in his successor's term.
If Clinton won, she can (fairly) blame it on Obama since the crash happened so soon.
If Trump won, he at least wouldn't get to take credit for the market run up the Obama and Bush Jr. Federal Reserve had orchestrated.
It's crashing this presidential term regardless, the slow trickle of increases is just delaying the inevitable.

But I guess Obama didn't want to be blamed for the next collapse.
