I do feel there are countervailing privileges at work here, and I think the assumption that white trash is 'more privileged' than any black person is very flawed

it is true that they have white privilege that will help them in many situations, but that is not the same as being 'more privileged' which is obviously hard to quantify... but wealth certainly plays into it as well

I don't disagree with you. It is hard to quantify who has more privilege between a rich black person and a poor white person.

But I think white privilege trumps wealth privilege all else being equal.
