The intent was never to be offensive. In fact, the intent was to correct the poster that assumed all the people that worked on the game were not just men, thereby being inclusive to the women that did. So I am really not sure out of looking for a reason to be upset on the behalf of a group that didn't even weigh in on the tweet (from what was in the OP) other than your own complex. Sure it could have been said better. But ignoring intent to puff your chest out is being pretty willfully ignorant yourself. --- I think I need a drink.
