Best Buy dropped Gamers Club Unlocked, Gamestop got rid of Powerup Pro Elite after a year, and Amazon had already changed their discount from "within two weeks of release" to "preorder only." Now even that's gone. Between all that, fewer games appealing to me, and many of the ones that do getting canceled, it's getting easier and easier for me to walk away from scene after I pick up a few more games I'm looking forward to.
