I can't approve how the more recent generations of parents have had this habit of giving their children unique, and supposedly cool-sounding names in order to make them feel more special to the parents. All it does is make the child more prone to bullying and ridicule, and some of these names just wind up sounding really stupid, which isn't something that I imagine the child would want to be stuck with for the rest of his/her life. In short, pick a name that already exists (preferably one from before this trend started), and go off of that. Please do not make that child's life worse by making up your own "unique" name with no apparent etymology. These are the types of names that you would give to characters in a novel one might write, not for actual people.
