No one needs to die over a little money. The thief was willing to shoot you in the face for non-compliance, that's what's worth killing them over. A threat does not necessarily imply the will or intent to make good on said threat. While I dont advocate beating someone to death for stealing a wallet... robbing at gunpoint is on a whole different level. Those who rob people at gunpoint should be killed.
