Laws are supposedly there to bring order to how a country operates. Without them there will be chaos sure. This doesn't mean I must agree with every law that gets put in place or exists now.

As I said people who commit crimes don't get to decide their punishment.

You're right. The law tends to protect criminals these days and punish the victims. This again doesn't mean I agree with it. If you commit a crime you deserve everything you get and that's a fair thought process in my book as the criminal is the one in the wrong to begin with. Had said criminal not decided to steal a wallet in this case then he would be still alive. Being as he decided to turn to crime I've no sympathy and the victim certainly shouldn't be punished as you know, they are the victim.
