Crazy how posters praising law and order are defending a criminal. the punishment didn't fit the crime at all They're not the government, people don't have to uphold proportionate punishment, just as companies aren't bound by free speech. but what he did was a crime, so he gets punished for it Assault is a crime, but disproportionate punishment isn't. Murder is, though. You don't get charged for murder because it's a disproportionate penalty, you get charged for murder because it's an unacceptable act.
