You don't have to say it explicitly. By continually insisting "it's legal!" over and over again, despite what you say here not mattering, your opinion is pretty clear. Crime Stoppers does not need you to defend them, yet you keep defending them for some reason.

If someone posted about someone who was giving a homeless person money, but right before the homeless person took the money, the other person went "Psych! Loser!" and ran off, would you admit that the person pretending to give the money was an asshole, or would you just tell us "well, what they did was legal."

The issue with this rule--encouraging people to not call 911 in an emergency--should be obvious. It seems so obvious in hindsight that there really should be a law to close up this issue.
